About Us

Road Train Experience has been a dream for many years of owner Ged Ryan. He has over 50 years of experience in the transport industry covering destinations across Australia. Ged owns his own training and assessing company, aiming at creating a more professional transport operator. 

He wanted a way to show people, what it is like to sit in a Road Train and experience what our professional operators of these big vehicles do every day. He is very passionate about all things transport related and wanted a way to allow others to have the same experience in a controlled environment. 

Ged has also been a tour guide in the Northern Territory working for several tour operators in Darwin and out at Jabiru. He is a wealth of knowledge, not only about the transport industry but also about the Territory, he is always up for a yarn.

In accordance with Ged’s love of sharing knowledge, all of his tour guides are like-minded, equally familiar with the area, and well-versed in how road trains operate.
